BAYRAM BOZHÜYÜK

İlköğretim ve Lise eğitimini Gaziantep’te tamamlamıştır. 2001 – 2005 yılları arasında Süleyman Demirel Üniversitesi, Güzel Sanatlar Fakültesi, Grafik PR. Bölümünde Lisans Eğitimini tamamlamıştır. Ardından özel sektörde ajans yöneticiliği yapmıştır. 2011 – 2014 yılları arasında Süleyman Demirel Üniversitesi, Güzel Sanatlar Enstitüsü, Grafik Tasarım bölümünde tezli yüksek lisansını tamamlamıştır. 2015 yılında Gaziantep Üniversitesi, Güzel Sanatlar Fakültesi, Grafik Tasarım Bölümünde göreve başlamıştır. Daha sonra 2016 - 2020 yılları arasında Hacettepe Üniversitesi, Güzel Sanatlar Enstitüsü, Grafik Bölümünde Sanatta Yeterlik/Doktora eğitimini tamamlamıştır. 2023 yılında doçentlik unvanı almıştır. Gaziantep Üniversitesi’nde grafik bölümünde akademik faaliyetlerine devam etmektedir. Görev yaptığı fakültede tasarım içerikli birçok uygulamalı ve teorik içerikli ders vermektedir. Değişik teknikler ve malzeme türleriyle illüstrasyon çalışmaları yapmaktadır. Ayrıca fotoğraf üzerine çalışmaları mevcuttur.

SUPREMATİST UZAYLAR

Gökyüzü, insanlığın en eski sorularının ve en büyük hayallerinin sahnesi olmuştur: “Nereden geliyoruz nereye gidiyoruz? Binlerce yıl boyunca yıldızlara bakan insan, gökyüzünü hem bir pusula hem de bir mitoloji kaynağı olarak kullandı. Aydınlanma Çağı’yla birlikte aklın ve bilimin yükselişi, bu kozmik merakı yeni bir boyuta taşıdı. Modernitenin ilerleme idealleri, gökyüzünü yalnızca gözlemlenen bir alan olmaktan çıkarıp, insanlığın kaderini yeniden yazacağı bir ufuk olarak tanımladı. Yirminci yüzyılın başında Suprematist, Konstrüktivist ve Fütürist sanatçılar, sanatı bilimin diliyle buluşturarak uzaya yeni bir estetik kazandırdılar. Maleviç’in saf geometrileri, Tatlin’in yapısal vizyonları, Marinetti’nin hız ve enerji tutkusu; gökyüzünü mutlak biçimlerin, ideal formların ve devrimci bir geleceğin sahnesine dönüştürdü. O dönemin bilimsel illüstrasyonları ve erken dönem bilimkurgu eserleri, insanlığın uzaya dair kolektif tahayyülünü besleyen ilk kozmik manifestolar olarak görülebilir.
Bugün ise modernitenin bütüncül ütopyaları geride kaldı. İçinde yaşadığımız postmodern dünyada gerçeklik parçalı, çoğul ve belirsizdir. Tüketim kültürü imgeleri hızla üretip tüketirken, insanlığın gökyüzüne bakışı da farklı anlam katmanlarına bölünmüş durumda. Buna rağmen, uzay hâlâ insanlığın en büyük ufku, en iddialı düşlerinin vazgeçilmez sahnesi olmaya devam ediyor. Gökyüzü hâlâ umut, merak ve entelektüel arayışla örülü bir imge olarak varlığını koruyor.
Suprematist Uzaylar sergisi tam da bu tarihsel sürekliliği gün yüzüne çıkaran bir yapı ile karşımıza çıkmakta ve 25 grafik illüstrasyondan oluşan seçki, geçmişin modernist estetik mirasını bugünün postmodern ve retro-fütürist uzay temsilleriyle buluşturmaktadır. Bu illüstrasyonlar yalnızca görsel olarak etkileyici eserler değil; aynı zamanda insanlığın gökyüzüne dair hiç bitmeyen düşünsel serüveninin izlerini taşımaktadır. Saf geometriler, devasa bloklar, kozmik karanlıklar ve tutulmalar; izleyiciyi adeta estetik bir deneyimin ötesinde felsefi bir sorgulamaya davet etmektedir.
Sergideki eserlerden biri, gökyüzünün karanlık fonunda yükselen dikey geometrik bloklar ve arka planda beliren bir tutulma ile dikkat çekiyor. Bu imge, Suprematist estetiğin kozmik bir yankısıdır. Bloklar, insan aklının mutlak biçimlere olan arayışını; tutulma, bilinmeyenin karanlık çekimini; gölgeler ise ilerlemenin asla tamamlanamayacak eksikliğini simgelemektedir. Böylece her eser, insanlık tarihinin gökyüzüne yönelttiği soruların yeni bir estetik yorumunu katkıda bulunabilmektedir.
Suprematist Uzaylar, yalnızca bir sergi değil; modernitenin ütopyacı geometrilerinden postmodern parçalanmaya uzanan bir yolculuktur. Bu yolculukta izleyici, geçmişin saf formlarını, bugünün çoğul imgeleriyle yan yana görür, anlar, kavrar ve bu haliyle deneyimşer. Suprematist saflıkla retro-fütürist nostalji, bilimsel hayal gücüyle sanatsal sezgi bir arada deneyimlenir. İlgili sergi, gökyüzünün hâlâ insanlığın en büyük düşlerini barındırdığını ilan eden bir manifesto gibi işlev göstermektedir. Bu düşler, bazen mutlak bir safiyet arayışı, bazen bilimsel bir keşif tutkusu, bazen de ironik bir retro hatırlayıştır. Ancak ortak bir gerçek vardır: İnsanlık gökyüzüne bakmayı bırakmadığı sürece, hem sanat hem de düşünce yeni ufuklara açılmaya devam edecektir.

SERGİ HAKKINDA
Aydınlanma Çağı ile başlayan ilerleme düşüncesi, 20. yüzyılda Modernite’nin idealleriyle dünyayı dönüştürmüş. Teknolojinin gelişimi, insanlığı gökyüzünün ötesine yöneltmiş; uzay hem bilimsel hem de sanatsal bir ufuk haline gelmiştir. Suprematist, Konstrüktivist ve Fütürist sanatçılar, uzayın geometrik ve idealize edilmiş formlarını yorumlarken, bilimsel illüstrasyonlar ve bilimkurgu eserleri yeni gelecek tasavvurları sunmuştur.
Günümüzde ise modernitenin evrensel idealleri, yerini postmodern belirsizlik, çoğulluk ve tüketim kültürüne bırakmış durumdadır. Buna rağmen uzay hâlâ insanlığın erişmek istediği bir hedef olarak önemini koruyor. Bu sergi, modernist sanatın estetik mirasını günümüzün uzay temsilleriyle buluşturarak, geçmişten bugüne insanlığın gökyüzüne dair umutlarını ve entelektüel arayışlarını yeniden hatırlatmayı amaçlıyor. Sergide Suprematist, Konstrüktivist, Fütürist ve retro yaklaşımlarla üretilmiş 25 adet uzay temalı görsel grafik illüstrasyonlar bir araya getirilmektedir.

UZAY SANATI NEDİR?
Uzay sanatı, astronomik sanat olarak da bilinir ve evreni çeşitli sanatsal stiller aracılığıyla görsel olarak temsil eden veya sanat eserlerini uzaya gönderen bir türdür. Uzay sanatının gelişimi, gece gökyüzünün daha hassas gözlemlenmesini sağlayan teknolojik ilerlemelerle yakından bağlantılıdır. Bazı uzay sanatçıları, uzaya yönelik sanatları, beşeri bilimleri ve kültürel ifadeyi genişletmenin yeni yollarını keşfetmek için doğrudan bilim insanlarıyla iş birliği yapar. Uzay sanatı, genellikle kozmolojik fenomenlerin ve bilimsel keşiflerin sanatsal yorumlarını içeren uzay hakkındaki fikirleri iletebilir.

SUPREMATIST SPACES

The sky has always been the stage for humanity’s oldest questions and greatest dreams: “Where do we come from? And where are we going? For thousands of years, humankind gazed at the stars, using the heavens both as a compass and as a source of mythology. With the rise of reason and science in the Age of Enlightenment, this cosmic curiosity was elevated to a new dimension. The ideals of modernity redefined the sky not merely as a field of observation, but as a horizon upon which humanity would rewrite its own destiny.
At the dawn of the twentieth century, Suprematist, Constructivist, and Futurist artists brought art into dialogue with the language of science, endowing space with a new aesthetic. Malevich’s pure geometries, Tatlin’s structural visions, and Marinetti’s obsession with speed and energy transformed the heavens into a stage of absolute forms, ideal structures, and revolutionary futures. The scientific illustrations and early works of science fiction from that era may be regarded as the first cosmic manifestos that nourished humanity’s collective imagination of space.
Today, the holistic utopias of modernity have receded into the past. In the postmodern world we inhabit, reality is fragmented, plural, and uncertain. While consumer culture rapidly produces and consumes images, humanity’s vision of the heavens has become divided into multiple layers of meaning. Yet despite this, space continues to be humanity’s greatest horizon—an irreplaceable stage for its most ambitious dreams. The sky still endures as an image woven with hope, wonder, and intellectual inquiry.
The exhibition Suprematist Spaces reveals precisely this historical continuity. Bringing together a selection of 25 graphic illustrations, it unites the aesthetic legacy of modernism with the postmodern and retro-futurist representations of space that define our contemporary moment. These illustrations are not only visually compelling works of art; they also carry within them the traces of humanity’s unending intellectual journey toward the heavens. Pure geometries, monumental blocks, cosmic darkness, and eclipses invite the viewer into a philosophical inquiry that extends beyond the aesthetic experience itself.
One of the works in the exhibition stands out with its towering vertical blocks rising against a dark celestial background and an eclipse emerging in the distance. This image resonates as a cosmic echo of Suprematist aesthetics. The blocks embody humanity’s quest for absolute forms; the eclipse evokes the gravitational pull of the unknown; and the shadows signify the inevitable incompleteness of progress. In this way, each work contributes a new aesthetic interpretation to the timeless questions that humanity has directed toward the sky.
Suprematist Spaces is not merely an exhibition, but a journey extending from the utopian geometries of modernity to the fragmentations of postmodernity. In this journey, the viewer perceives, comprehends, and experiences the pure forms of the past side by side with the plural images of the present. Suprematist purity and retro-futurist nostalgia, scientific imagination and artistic intuition converge in a shared encounter.
Ultimately, this exhibition functions as a manifesto that proclaims the sky still harbors humanity’s greatest dreams. Sometimes these dreams take the form of an absolute search for purity; at other times, the passion for scientific discovery; or, in moments, the irony of retro remembrance. Yet one truth remains constant: as long as humanity continues to gaze at the heavens, both art and thought will keep opening new horizons.

ABOUT THE EXHIBITION
The idea of progress that embarked on with the Age of Enlightenment transformed the world in the 20th century through the ideals of Modernity. The advancement of technology directed humanity beyond the sky; space became both a scientific and artistic horizon. While Suprematist, Constructivist, and Futurist artists interpreted the geometric and idealized forms of space, scientific illustrations and works of science fiction offered new visions of the future.
Today, however, the universal ideals of modernity have given way to postmodern uncertainty, plurality, and consumer culture. Despite this, space still retains its significance as a destination humanity aspires to reach. This exhibition aims to recall humanity’s hopes and intellectual quests concerning the heavens from past to present, by bringing together the aesthetic legacy of modernist art with contemporary representations of space. The exhibition presents 25 space-themed graphic illustrations produced in Suprematist, Constructivist, Futurist, and retro approaches.

WHAT IS SPACE ART?
Space art, also known as astronomical art, is a genre that visually represents the universe through various artistic styles, or that sends works of art into space itself. The development of space art is closely linked to technological advancements that allow for more precise observation of the night sky. Some space artists collaborate directly with scientists in order to discover new ways of expanding the dialogue between art, the humanities, and cultural expression. Space art often conveys ideas about the cosmos through artistic interpretations of cosmological phenomena and scientific discoveries.
